The Niddrie project stands as one of our most rewarding and dramatic transformations to date. Once a tired, run-down property, this home has been thoughtfully reimagined into a warm, elegant sanctuary for a wonderful family. Every corner of the house was touched with purpose, and the result is a space that not only meets modern-day living needs but is also designed to stand the test of time.

Our vision for Niddrie was simple yet ambitious: to craft a forever home—one that combines enduring style with exceptional functionality. Timber flooring flows seamlessly throughout the home, providing a rich, organic warmth that beautifully contrasts with the clean, crisp white tones used in the cabinetry, walls, and finishes. This balance between warmth and minimalism creates a timeless, sophisticated aesthetic.

One of the most impactful changes we made was converting an underutilised front living area into a stunning new master suite, complete with a spacious walk-in robe and ensuite. This allowed us to rethink the flow of the home, carving out space for a butler’s pantry that now serves as a hidden gem off the kitchen—perfect for entertaining or keeping everyday essentials tucked neatly away.

The kitchen itself is the true heart of the home. It’s a space that effortlessly blends function and beauty, the custom cabinetry showcases exceptional craftsmanship and adds character and depth to the room. One of the most striking design decisions was to retain the original ceiling beams. Embracing their texture and charm to bring a sense of history and personality into the otherwise modern design.

Personally, my favourite space in the house is the open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area. It’s where the home truly comes alive—a perfect mix of old and new. It's a space made for everyday moments, family gatherings, and lasting memories.
